2012 Chrysler 300 1 300x183 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 – Prestige and MachoFor those who carry the title of proud, mid-level executive with excellent career prospects and the perfect family to boot, it would be fair to say that many have rather unfulfilled dreams of owning a muscle car. Sadly however, such two door beats simply aren’t practical and therefore there has been very little option other than to tone down for something a little more sensible.

The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 looks set to change that once and for all…

Though lacking in the attention grabbing prowess of the Dodge Charger SRT8, the 300 SRT8 more than makes up for in a range of subtle tweaks and clues that let any observer know that this is far more than just an average 300. From the rear spoiler to the huge tailpipes and everything in-between, it is clear to say the least that the 300 SRT8 means business.

Needless to say, fuel economy is not exactly the primary concern, which would indeed be a difficult task for any car providing 470-horsepower. While some have complained a little that the standard 5-speed transmission is a little dated, the shift paddle functionality is hugely impressive.

With a starting price of $53,135, the test model is somewhere around the price territory of the BMW M3. Needless to say, with a price that might just fall a little under that of the competition, the SRT8 may not be perfect by any stretch, but is certainly a hugely impressive specified and could well be the muscle car executives have been waiting for.
