The Android Honeycomb Iconia was first seen back in March, though initial impressions were less than exceptional to say the least. However, the latest iteration appear to have been afforded a few necessary tweaks to ensure it will prove a competitive model in both the consumer and business worlds.

Spec-wise, the Iconia comes sporting a 10.1 inch screen with resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, HSPA+ network support on AT&T, a dual core 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, USB port, microSD and dual cameras.

With regard to price, the new Iconia is to be made available both online and in stores for a price of $479.99, though AT&T have stated that customers will be able to take advantage of a $329.99 subsidized price if they sign up to a two-year agreement.

Billed by the manufacturer as a fast and fluid way of staying well informed and entertained while on the go, the Iconia is set to receive heavy marketing across the board. Needless to say, with the likes of the iPad 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab to contend with, the Iconia will have its work cut out in making the desired impact.
