Many expected the highly anticipated smartphone to be available before the holidays but the Cupertino-based company instead unveiled “an upgrade” i.e. the iPhone 4S.

Launched in October, the iPhone 4S was dubbed as rather disappointing but despite this, it still did well in the world market. In fact, Apple broke its sales records thanks to the hype given to the iPhone 4S.

For those who aren’t really into the iPhone 4S, rumors say that the iPhone 5 will be out early next year. New reports about the upcoming smartphone suggests that the release date will be sometime in March 2012.

According to those who are privy with Apple’s plans the iPhone 5 will have a mind blowing 4-inch display. The smartphone is expected to have IGZO display making the handset a lot thinner than its predecessors.
