A number of key analysts are said to be behind the rumors, stemming from Japan and perhaps painting a tantalizing picture of the future plans to expect from Apple over the next 12 months. Needless to say, perhaps the biggest story of all is the suggestion that Apple has invested up to $1 billion in equipment coming from one of Sharp’s factories.

Of course, this would not only weigh up with the suggestions that Apple are currently focusing all efforts on a truly revolutionary display quality for the iPad 3, but also the common knowledge that they are looking to put as much distance as possible between themselves and long-time rivals Samsung.

With regard to the iTV, very little has been speculated so far, other than the fact that Apple are said to have suggested an iTV is indeed on the way in the near future and will be a project in conjunction with Sharp – though how and when this will materialize remains a mystery.

Speaking of mysteries, the iPhone 5 release date still remains perhaps the biggest of all, though if screen issues had indeed proved to be the problem preventing a 2011 launch, the new deal with Sharp may be just what is needed to see the highly-anticipated device finally make and appearance in 2012.
