Apple to Launch iPhone 4S October 14th at 8am
Apple is poised to at long last release the highly anticipated and truly advanced iPhone 4S, beginning 8am local time on October 14th. Needless to say, if past trends are to be repeated, Apple can expect unprecedented and record-breaking traffic at each of its 357 stores across the world.
The three major carriers of the US iPhone 4S – those being Verizon, Sprint and AT&T – reportedly sold out of all currently available stock by way of preorders. AT&T have since estimated that shipping may take three to four weeks, while Verizon have maintained that they will be able to keep the delivery date of October 21st. Sprint on the other hand have simply sold out, according to their website.
Of course, those looking to purchase an iPhone 4S who do not live within the vicinity of an Apple store will have plenty of other options, all of which are to begin selling the device on October 14th. Furthermore, a number of partner/non-Apple retailers are offering some attractive incentives to purchase from their stores, such as gift cards and accessories.
Apple’s online store is still taking orders for the 4S, but is advising that one to two weeks will be required to ship the one million-plus ordered already. This may prove to be the very best approach for those seeking value and convenience, as the Apple Store offers the phone for all carriers, with free shipping and perhaps best of all, no lines!
