The retail giant is hosting preorder sales for the 16GB and 32GB versions in store locations across the US, while the 64GB version can be ordered for AT&T via the company website.

According to AT&T, presales have already surpassed the 200,000 mark since last Friday Alone.

The new iPhone 4S includes the same dual-core A5 processor as used in the iPad 2, 8 megapixel camera with full 1080p HD video recording, the highly anticipated iOS 5 software and a new voice recognition protocol called Suri.

Battery life is expected to provide up to 8 hours of 3G use time or 10 hours of video. Additionally, the merging of GSM and CDMA antennas will make the phone a global device.

Unfortunately for the millions expecting something a little more, there was no mention whatsoever of the iPhone 5 during the recent Apple even in San Francisco. This has done little to quell the rumors however, with many still anticipating future adornments including a screen size of at least 4 inches and thinner, lighter profile.
