Calling All Fans of House, One of the Hottest Shows on Television Continues
Hold on, it won’t be long now, the first episode of House premieres on Monday, September 20th. The newly released promo art for the fall season shows the whole cast in bed together. Does this mean there will be more harmony between the staff or some crazy dream sequence evolving?
The medical mega-drama debuted on the Fox Network in November 2004. Dr. Gregory House, played by Hugh Laurie, is an overbearing, often obnoxious super diagnostician. With mental genius and a tortured soul he solves medical mysteries using a dry erase board and the process of elimination.
Dr. House and cast members are residents of the fictional Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey. The hit drama, created by David Shore is actually filmed in Century City, a 176 acre district on the Westside of Los Angeles.
House Season 7 is rumored to kindle the romance started by the surprising kiss of last season, between House and the hospital administrator and dean of medicine, Dr. Lisa Cuddy, played by Lisa Edelstein. If House and Cuddy do become romantically involved how will this affect the team?
Since the first season the show has been critically acclaimed and maintained high viewer ratings. It was among the top-ten rated shows in America for the first 4 seasons. In the roll of Gregory House, Hugh Laurie has received two Golden Globes. He was born in Oxford, England, and educated in Cambridge and Eton. He is a best–selling author, an accomplished piano player, and the son of an Olympic gold medalist sportsman. Hugh Laurie was an exceptional athlete until he contracted mononucleosis in college.
Dr. House has perfected his image of the cynic, disgruntled, irreverent, Vicodin-popping, Dr. McCranky we all love. Previously the show has received many awards, i.e., People’s Choice, Peabody and four Primetime Emmys. The last show of the sixth season aired on May 21, 2010 and now House’s seventh season is scheduled to premiere on September 20, 2010.
