Celtics crush Magic in Game 2, take 2-0 lead
The Boston Celtics beat the Orlando Magic once again 95-92 in Amway Arena last night and now are heading back to Boston with a 2-0 lead, to play two straight games there.
Boston’s Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo combined 53 points together which helped to hold off the Magic’s late rally in the 4th quarter. Orlando which had 14 straight wins before facing with Boston in the Eastern Conference finals, lost the second straight game against the Celtics despite Dwight Howards game high 30 points and eight rebounds in game 2. The Magic made a comeback from a 11 point deficit later in the game and took the lead but they couldn’t hold if for long.
It was a key moment when Vince Carter missed two three trows with 31,9 seconds left from the game and a 95-92 lead for the Celtics.
„Our fans believe in us, we are coming back to Boston and will try to finish the series in 4 games” – Paul Pierce said after the game.
Game 3 will be on Saturday night in Boston.
