Current Mortgage Rates: Bank of America Home Purchase Rates Still Low
Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) continues to attract potential borrowers in the new year with some of the lowest morgage rates across the country.
Today, Bank of America offers the 30-year fixed rate mortgage package for new or used home purchases at a rate of 4.000% and an annual percentage rate of 4.140%. The shorter, but equally popular 15-year FRM deal can be locked in and taken home for as low as 3.250% and an APR of 3.551%.
Other major US lenders like Chase (NYSE:JPM), KeyBank (NYSE:KEY) and TD Bank (NYSE:TD) among others, are also offering the said purchase packages at similarly favorable rates. For instance, Chase offers the 30-year fixed deal for as low as 3.875% and an APR amounting to 3.940%. This deal seems to offer a striking value for money. The 20-year FRM alternative can be picked up at Chase today at a rate of 3.250% and carries an APR of 3.382%.
KeyBank advertises the 30-year fixed purchase package at 4.000% and an APR yielding to 4.074%. The shorter fixed rate packages also look attractive as they are up for grabs at KeyBank at a starting rate of 3.350% and an APR of 3.476%.
Moving on to the best fixed rate mortgage deals at TD Bank, today the 30-year FRM is available for as low as 4.000% and carries an annual percentage rate of 4.103%. For those who are preferring the shorter package, it can be loccked in and taken out for 3.225% and an APR of 3.318%.
