Drastic steps needed to resolve oil catastrophe

According to independent experts the moorland of the Mexican Gulf can be cleaned up only by taking drastic steps urgently.

Scientists have declared the CBS television that the crude oil – which is very dangerous for fishes and other animals – in the moorland can be eliminated only if they burn down the plants there. Another possible scenario is that they would flood the area in order to wash out the crude oil.

At the same time some experts emphasized that with adopting methods like these would cause further damage to the wildlife, therefore they shouldn’t be applied. Since the explosion of Deepwater Horizon oil rig that happened one month ago, there are already 80 kilometers area got contaminated by the dense crude oil near the coasts of Louisana state. Experts say, there are more than 22 million liters crude oil fell into the Mexican Gulf since the detonation.

Public opinion is increasingly dissatisfied with the actions made so far in order to resolve the crisis. Moreover one of the platform operator of BP declared: they can start plugging up the leaks on the oil wells only on Wednesday or Thursday.

Experts want to stop leakage using heavy mud that will be shot into the structure. This is a common solution, however it was never implemented under 1500 meters deep.

Iran once again offered its help for the United Stated in order to stop leakage. Mehran Alinejad, one of the leader of the Iranian national oil rig company stated: his country already dealt with several huge oil leakages in the 1980′s.
