ipad Early iPad 3 Release Date Rumor Hits the WebLast Monday, Digitimes reported that the new iPad 3 will be out 3 to 4 months from now.

The thing about this rumour is it offers nothing new to begin with. Apple has the noble tradition of sending out upgraded editions of their products well over a year or less. The first iPad came out on an April while iPad 2 was launched March of the following year.

If rumours prove to be true, the next generation iPad will get an early February release or a much later April launch. The record for the longest follow-up happened with the launch of the iPhone 4S which was 4 months behind the expected date.

Sources say that makers in the supply chain have started shipping out iPad-3-specific parts and components to OEM contractors. It also stipulated that iPad 2 manufacturing will only continue with its full scale production up until the end of this year with 14-15 million units made.

Rumours pointed out further that Foxconn Technologies, a primary manufacturer for Apple’s iPads, will start the iPad 3 production in January with an expected upsurge in production come February resulting to an expected 10 million units available by the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Richard Garder, Citi analyst, stated that Apple is thinking of taking the iPad 3 onto the market a month earlier than the previous iPad’s release. Hence, the possibility of a February launch.
