google nexus prime2 Galaxy Nexus Official Volume Bug Fix Expected to Be Out SoonAmidst getting some bad publicity in the Android community, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus volume bug problem will finally have an official fix. Reports say that Google is fixing the bug and the patch is expected to be sent to Samsung Galaxy Nexus handsets next week.

Google representatives told the online community recently that the company is currently working on a fix for the bug. For Samsung Galaxy Nexus owners, this is definitely good news because they will no longer have to deal with an erratic volume that does not even allow them to make calls.

Previous reports from the UK about the bug explained that the problem is caused by O2 and Vodafone’s 900MHz 2G frequencies making it impossible for the user to hear anything during calls. This issue also affects music playing capabilities and hearing ringtones. The bug also triggers another strange problem: when someone puts a different phone near the Galaxy Nexus, the other phone would experience the same problems.

A solution for the bug was offered by a Japanese carrier last week, but it is an unofficial patch and will void the phone’s warranty. Sources say that US customers won’t have such problems as carriers operate on different frequencies.
