Galaxy Nexus to Debut in Singapore in February
Samsung Galaxy Nexus is seen as the next best Android smartphone to ever come out into the market. However, Singaporean users are set to reserve their thoughts about it as the phone is scheduled for a February release.
The smartphone was released last December in the UK and the US – two of the most important global smartphone markets.
In a November announcement made by Samsung Singapore, it has been stated that the smartphone will indeed face with a delayed release.
The Galaxy Nexus is the first phone to venture into the market with an Android Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Apart from that, being a Nexus variant, it is set for a full Google experience by providing no other additional features implanted by third party distributors.
The Galaxy Nexus will be facing it out with another Samsung smartphone that’s currently storming the market – the Samsung Galaxy SII.
The Galaxy Nexus smartphone comes with a much bigger 4.65-inch display screen and the Android 4.0 platform as compared to Galaxy SII’s 4.3-inch screen and the Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Furtermore, the Galaxy Nexus also features a face unlock mechanism and better Gmail interface experience.
At the January launch event held recently, Samsung unveiled a few other products that are set for release. Among such products is a new middle-ender smartphone called the Galaxy W. What’s worth noting about this one is that it runs on the Android platform instead of Windows Phone OS even with the W moniker attached to it.
The Galaxy W sports a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor with a $498 price tag to boot.
