galaxy s21 300x300 Galaxy S2 Sales in South Korea Hits 5 Million MarkSamsung experiences great Galaxy S2 sales in South Korea, as the company reportedly sold 5 million units just in its homeland.

Being a native to the country, it is not surprising that the multinational tech giant faces quite the same amount of success that it has acquired in foreign territories. It can be noted that the Galaxy S2 was said to be the cream of the crop last year when it manage to outdo the iPhone 4S in sales within the UK and the US.

It was reported by the people from The Next Web that Samsung is indeed the market leader in its home turf as well. It currently holds an entire 53-percent of the South Korean smartphone sales.

True to such premise, the Galaxy S2 managed to sell well over 100,000 units upon the first three days of its release in South Korea. It managed to create quite a consistent number of people throwing their money in batching for the said phone bandwagon. In fact, a week later, it managed to sell 200,000 units. It took two weeks for it to get to the 500,000 mark, and eventually surpassed the 1 million mark within a month.

The previous Galaxy S edition performed moderately as compared to the Galaxy S2. It took 70 days for it to acquire the 1 million unit mark under its belt.

If there’s anything that this recent development could provide, it would be a good momentum for the Galaxy S3 once it is released within the second quarter of this year.
