How to take care of your plams and nails?

Filed under: Lifestyle,The Big Stories |

Daily housework, sudden changes of temperature and air conditioning affect the skin of our hands. Here are  simple, homemade ways  that guarantee great effects and do not require spending hours in beauty saloon. In this way,  we can have an amazing “wellness in your hands” at low cost  without leaving home.

Plams

• when washing hands, pay attention to water temperature, it should not be neither too cold nor too warm,

• instead of the traditional soap use gel with a neutral or acidic PH,

• after washing your hands  wipe them precisely  because the moisture dries up and makes your skin parched. Do not allow your hands to dry themselves. We do not recommend using  an electric hand dryer as well. Both make your skin look older and dry.

• during dishwashing and hand washing wear rubber gloves, but before putting them on your hands use some greasy cream or olive oil,

• use hand cream regularly,

• once a week do the peeling. You can buy it in a shop or make it on your own using simple ingredients like sugar and olive oil or coffee,

• if you have the minor spots and stains on your  hands  you can treat them with  lemon or lemon juice everyday,  for about two weeks. An additional advantage of this treatment is an anti-wrinkle effect. What is more you can remove skin hyperpigmentation with fresh grated parsley root,

• if your hands are irritated and rough, put a mask on them. First put hot and fat milk on oatmeal, wait some time and  then add cooked and shredded potatoes (without peeling them) together with egg yolk and milk. Mix all together and  apply mask on your hands.  Wash it off  after about 5 minutes with warm water,

• the rough and cracked skin can be treated with  paraffin  which dissolves in a container placed in hot water. When it is cool, put your hands inside for about 5 minutes and then wrap them with aluminum foil and a towel. Before going to bed you can  rub your  hands with a mixture of glycerin, lemon juice and eau de cologne (all in equal quantities) and then put on cotton gloves.

• to prevent sweating of  your palms drink tea with sage and put your hands in a warm sage infusion. You can also drink the mixture consisting of one liter of water and 2-3 tablespoons of  fruit vinegar. However, this method  gives short-term effects

• use a lotion with orange juice and almond oil, so that your hands will become soft and smooth. You can also use lard mixed with vitamin F in proportions of 2 to 1 and put on cotton gloves.

• use supplements – composition of extracts from horsetail, millet, nettle, vitamins and zinc. They have a good effects on skin, hair and nail plate. The results are visible after about two months.

Nails

• file  your nails with nail paper or nail file made from glass or stone. The best is double sided file. Its rough side  shortens  a  nail and  delicate one makes it smooth. Do not use metal file since it destroys the nail plate.

• to prevent damage of  your nails, do not file them after a bath when they are too soft,

• use a colorless nail polish or nail nutrient,

• if you want to strengthen your nails, use the infusion of fennel (tablespoon of dried seeds

with a glass of hot water) and apply the mixture in your nails with the cotton pad. The treatment lasts 14 days. You can also use onion juice, it brings similar effects.

• follow a special diet: green vegetables,  milk, eggs, fish, grains, vegetable oils which strengthen  the nail plate,

• icing on the cake will be well-matched nail polish
