HP Touchpad OS Upgrade
The Cyanogenmod O/S build team has announced a new release of their Android based products. Cyanogenmod 7.1 has an alpha build for the HP TouchPad. Cyangenmod for the TouchPad is an a advanced version of the Andriod operating system, and may soon take its place among the most popular Android flavors. RootzWiki has stated that this new Cyangenmod 7.1 has wonderful new features such as, Wifi, blue tooth, sound, power management, light sensor, vibration, battery reporting, and many other practical and convenient additions.

Despite these wonderful attributes of the Cyangenmod 7.1 there are still issues. Power efficiency is one of the main bugs with the TouchPad. Also the camera may only be used for video chat. However these bugs will certainly be addressed in updates and future additions. The Cyangenmod team has stated that it isn’t advisable to install the Cyangenmod until these bugs have been worked out to insure that you may use the Cyangemod without problems and with pleasing results. Unfortunately Cyangenmod is not yet saying the dates of release except that “It will be ready when it is ready”.
