HTC Amaze 4G Another Samsung Galaxy S2 Rival
The Samsung Galaxy S2 has been a global winner, even outselling the iPhone in some important markets. But also like the iPhone, new competitors for the Galaxy S2 show up every day. Today’s new entry? The HTC Ruby or as it will be called by T-Mobile, the HTC Amaze 4G.
The HTC Amaze will feature a blazing fast 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. This spec beats or rivals, the fastest Galaxy S2 offerings today. It will come complete with HTC’s standard Sense features that are quite popular among HTC users. The phone will also have cameras that have become somewhat standard with eight megapixels in the rear two megapixels on the front.
The phone will also be equipped with NFC technology that enables something like remote bar code processing. Google is using the technology in its Wallet offering to substitute as a credit card so that mobile phones can be used for payment like a plastic card would be. Less things for the average Joe to carry around.
Sprint has already released its version of the Samsung Galaxy S2 and AT&T just announced an October 4th release date. With the Amaze 4G targeted toward the end of October, HTC fans may very well wait the extra 4 weeks to pick up this newest and possibly fastest Android smart-phone offering.
