ipad1 iPad 3 January Release Highly UnlikelyIncredulous rumours hounding around the iPad 3 proved anomalous enough for a strike down from avid Apple followers.

DigiTimes, a fervent purveyor of supposed insider news about technological developments on the Apple front, have indicated in one of its many features that the Cupertino firm is set to unveil two different prototypes of its upcoming iPad 3.

Reports place it that two variants with a 5-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel camera respectively, are set to come out in January. However, apart from said differing camera spec, there’s nothing else peculiar or unique enough to distinguish either models since their both set to come out with twice the resolution of the previous iPad. Hence, many people calling it pure twaddle.

Instead, most tech bloggers are fixated on the presumption that Apple is all set for a March or April release of the new iPad. After all, observed tradition is a much better source of compliance than that of a rumour-mongers’ suppositions.

Furthermore, Apple was never one to try and gain production traction from consumers through expos and shows anyway as reported by DigiTimes. They’ve always been consistent in unveiling upcoming line-up of gadgetry through their own sponsored and produced presentation show.

With that, Apple continues to keep mum about matters rounding about their hotly anticipated follow-up to the current tablet market leader.

Nevertheless, another release date rumour has it that Apple is pondering on a February 24th release for the iPad 3. It is the same date of Steve Jobs’ birthday and perhaps, a good way to honour his immense contribution to the global brand that Apple today is.
