iPad 3 or Mini-iPad Coming 2012?
With the iPhone 5 once again being confined to the pages of a fairy-tale and the iPhone 4S revealed in all its glory, the rumor mill has now once again focused attention squarely on the mystical and elusive iPad 3.
According to the latest leaked information from within the industry, a mid-2012 release date for the iPad 3 is now looking the most likely scenario, with chances of a pre-Thanksgiving of Christmas 2011 release now looking impossible. Furthermore, contrary to talk of a stunning, all-new iPad with massively improved specs, it is now being suggested that Apple will be more likely to provide competition to the Amazon Kindle Fire with a stripped-down, perhaps even ‘mini’ iPad.
Of course, it may not essentially be much smaller in physical size at least, but scaling down specs will of course help scale down the price considerably. Either way, most are hoping that any new iPad release will feature the new voice-assisted Siri as an onboard feature, which has already proved hugely popular.
Of course, the leaks and insights will continue to come and go but what Apple has once again taught the public this year is never think for one second we really have a clue what they are thinking. The curveballs has come thick and fast with the likelihoods of another in the near future seeming almost a certainty.
After all, has Apple really been working on nothing more significant that the iPhone 4S for all this time?
