However, what seems to have been agreed by all parties is that AT&T currently seems to be the very best carrier of choice for iPhone users across the board, meaning that when the iPhone 5 eventually does see the light of day, AT&T are unlikely to miss a beat.

Indeed, despite many other carriers now offering the iPhone, the share of the market held by AT&T is said to remain unscathed.

It had been widely expected that when availability increased, many iPhone fanatics would jump ship and consider the other options available to them – though this has proved not to be the case.

AT&T have stated that their ongoing relationship with Apple is one of incredible strength and positivity, which of course means that the carrier will likely play a hugely significant role in the release of the iPhone 5 – particularly as the upcoming device is rumored to be 4G LTE compatible.

One of the reasons AT&T has maintained such a position comes by way of superior data speeds, because of support for HSPA+ technology. Other major carriers including Sprint Nextel have been plagued with complaints since the release of the iPhone 4S regarding slow data speeds.

The new Apple iPhone 5 release date is now expected to come about during June of 2012, offering a truly next generation device which may force the world to reconsider all they think they know about mobile technology.
