iPhone 5 Release Date, iPad 2S and iPad 3 Suggest Potential Launch Window
It really doesn’t take long for Apple to well and truly throw out the curveballs and change all realistic predictions of product launches, with 2011 proving the most unpredictable in history so far. The rather oddly timed rollout of the iPhone 4S coming sixteen months after the release of the original iPhone 4 came as a shock to most, though the most shocking aspect of all was its runaway success after an initially frosty reception.
As it stands, it is now the iPad 3 that is being called into question regarding release dates, though by putting a few of the pieces together, it may in fact be that we now have a good idea for the plans of Apple during most of 2012.
According to the latest industry reports, Apple may now in fact be planning something of an iPad 2S, which would of course be the iPhone 4S of the tablet PC world – that being an obvious gap-filler while the real masterpiece is completed. This of course clearly corresponds with claims that Apple’s epic expectations for 400% increased screen resolutions for the iPad 3 are simply beyond technological reality at present, therefore a Spring launch is simply impossible.
Instead, the iPad 2S is now pegged as likely to arrive in March 2012 with the main event coming in the fall, which of course leaves a clear and present gap in the early summer, let’s say July, so exactly what could Apple be preparing for then?
With the success story that is the iPhone 4S, Apple are clearly in no rush to steal its thunder with a superior release anytime soon, but when the hysteria has died down and the manufacturer has had no less than two full years to breathe life into the iPhone 5, suffice to say we better be ready for nothing less than a mobile technology revolution.
