Kindle Fire Takes Market by Surprise
The Kindle Fire is off to a good start as Amazon is reportedly satisfied with the current sales results of the budget tablet PC. The firm’s estimates and third party analysts say that the Kindle Fire is doing very well even that it’s facing with a lot of competition.
Pegged as the clear rival to the Apple iPad 2, Kindle Fire has gained quite a following. The Samsung Galaxy Tab is also among the competitors, but it seems the budget tablet PC is unruffled.
IHS iSuppli’s estimations sees the global market share for the Apple tablet to slip from 65 to 75 percent in the latter part of 2011 while the Kindle Fire will be shipping an expected 3.9 million units. Although the Amazon tablet PC does not have the lion’s share of the market just yet, it has overdone itself and has taken 14% of the market.
On the other hand, Samsung isn’t faring well in the tablet PC front since it only holds a mere 5% of the market.
