Miley Cyrus Glad to Leave Hannah Montana Behind

Miley Cyrus has revealed that she is very much relieved to have left Hannah Montana behind and moved on with her life, stating that she was incredibly bored with playing the Disney icon on both the big and small screens.

Miley, daughter of country music legend Billy Ray Cyrus, shot to fame and became a household name as the title character of the smash TV series which came to an end last year. However, behind the scenes it has become clear that Miley felt somewhat smothered by an endless filming schedule and the need for her to display angelic behavior at all times.

In a recent interview, Miley told reporters that she missed the family atmosphere during filming but does not miss the routine or the bind at all. She stated that doing exactly the same thing day in and day out left her with no opportunity to be herself or live her own life, worrying constantly that she would be thought of as Hannah Montana for the rest of her days.

While she has no regrets, she has also stated that she would urge her younger sister Noah to think twice about taking up a similar role, as has been suggested as a distinct possibility.

Miley has hit the headlines a number of times over recent weeks regarding her increasingly raunchy and sexualized live shows, which have prompted widespread concern and outrage from parents of young and pre-teen fans – Miley’s primary target audience.
