Mortgage Rates Today: Chase Bank Rates End Week Strongly
Chase Bank (NYSE:JPM) is today offering something of a mixed bag of mortgage rates for home purchases and refinances, which although display a few fluctuations have generally leveled out at some excellent low levels.
For borrowers looking to buy a new or used home, 30 year fixed term mortgage packages are today being advertised for 4.000% with a resulting APR of 4.073%, while the 15 year deal can be locked in for 3.250% with an APR of 3.413%
The 7/1 ARM is being advertised today for 2.750% with a starting APR of 3.021%, while the shorter 5/1 ARM term is at 2.375% with a 2.944% APR.
Refinance deals are also showing equal strength and value, with the 30 year fixed term deal now being made available for 4.500% with an APR of 4.575%. the 15 year term for refinances on the other hand is today at 3.875% with a resulting APR of 4.022%.
Adjustable terms for refinances are also available in the form of the 7/1 ARM which today has an introductory rate of 2.875% with an APR of 3.108%, while the 5/1 ARM can be taken out for 2.625% yielding an APR 3.030%.
Dwindling interest in new applications has continued all week across the US, prolonging the fears than the nation’s housing market is still a long way from the miracle boom it so desperately needs.
