Mortgage Rates Today: SunTrust Options Up to Par with National Thursday Averages
National average mortgage rates have been something of a mixed bag all week and this is one again reflected in the rated being offered by SunTrust (NYSE:STI) today, which have displayed minor fluctuations of late in all directions.
With regard to those looking to SunTrust for competitive purchase packages, the standard 30 year fixed term mortgage is today being advertised for 4.125% and a resulting APR amounting to 4.259%, while the popular 15 year fixed purchase package is at 3.500% and a resulting APR of 3.711%.
30 year fixed term for Jumbo loans also offer excellent value for money, today being offered for 4.750% and an attached APR of 4.871%.
In the case of the adjustable options on offer today, the Agency 7/1 ARM is being listed as beginning at 2.990% and an APR figure of 2.715%, while the 5/1 ARM can be taken on for 2.750% to begin which amounts to an APR of 2.546%.
This week has seen lenders continuing to offer exceptional deals across the board as house prices tumble further, though nothing has seemed to prove enough to tempt more would be buyer to take the leap and make the most of what could have been a truly golden age for the US housing market.
