Mortgage Rates Today: Thursday Packages at Chase Bank Largely Unchanged
Thursday sees Chase Bank (NYSE:JPM) offering an array of competitive and highly value mortgage packages across the board, most of which are relatively unchanged from yesterday and remain in line with national averages.
The standard and highly popular 30 year fixed term deal for used and new home purchase is today at 4.125% and an APR of 4.209%, while the 15 year fixed term deal on the other hand can be taken out for 3.375% and an APR of 3.520%.
7/1 ARM contracts for purchases are being advertised for 2.875% and a resulting APR of 3.114%, while the 5/1 ARM on the other hand is at 2.500% with an APR of 3.015%.
Moving on to refinance packages, the 30 year fixed term deal still represents excellent value at a rate of 4.375% and an APR amounting to 4.481%, while the 15 year term could also be an excellent choice at 3.750% and an APR of 3.897%.
Adjustable refinance packages include the 7/1 ARM which today has a starting rate of 3.125% and APR of 3.230%, while the shorter 5/1 ARM term is being advertised for 2.750% and an APR of 3.102%.
Like most other lenders this Thursday, Chase may be wondering exactly what it will take to really spark a boom in activity, given the fact that both decreases and increase in rates seem to have had little to no effect at all.
