Mortgage Rates Today: Wells Fargo Offering Excellent Refinance Opportunities Wednesday
Despite the fact that Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) and many other major US lenders are once again offing superb value refinance packages this Wednesday, activity from potential borrowers has remained at incredibly sluggish levels. At this stage, it is beginning to seem entirely impossible that the boom the housing market needs is to come along at any time in the foreseeable future.
For those willing to take the plunge and enjoy the savings almost guaranteed to come as a result, the 30 year fixed term refinance package from Wells Fargo can today be taken home for 4.375% and an APR of 4.766%, while the shorter 15 year contract is now at 3.500% and an APR of 4.020%.
The 30 year FHA fixed term loan is now being offered for 4.000%, while the 5 year ARM can be taken out with a starting rate of 2.875% and an APR amounting to 3.382%.
There have of course been countless thousands who have spoken out regarding stringent acceptance criteria blocking their progress with refinance applications, but this in no way explains why overall activity is down to levels lower than seen in many years.
