Motorola Droid Razr Released Online via Verizon and Amazon
The long-awaited Motorola Droid Razr has finally be made available for online purchase through Verizon Wireless and Amazon, ahead of its official in-store release.
Customers of the Verizon network have the option of purchasing the new Droid Razr for $649.99 without the usual two year service agreement, while those happy to take on a contract can expect to pay $299.99 – the latter of which must also include a data plan, of which options begin at a further $20 per month.
Online retail giant Amazon is also offering the Droid Razr for sale and was initially offering it on Friday for a reduced price of $111.11 with free shipping. Sadly, the offer has now ended but the Razr can still be picked up for $199.99, which is of course $100 cheaper than the Verizon offer. Buyers should also be aware that the Smartphone is already rather backed up, therefore shipping is delayed by around 8-10 days.
Billed as the thinnest Smartphone in the world today, the Droid Razr packs a hefty dual-core 12GHz processor into its reinforced case, along with 1GB of dedicated RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Screen.
Needless to say, with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus expected to land in the very near future, the Droid Razr will have its work cut out to say the least – especially in light of early previews signaling a potential battery life issue that could cost the Razr dearly.
