Motorola Droid Razr Set For Massive Marketing on Verizon Network
The new Motorola Droid Razr, labeled by the manufacturer as the thinnest Smartphone in the world, is set for official launch on November 11th and will be available exclusively to customers of the Verizon Wireless network. Furthermore, a spokesperson for Verizon has confirmed that the new Razr will be afforded massive advertising efforts throughout the quarter.
Upon its release, the new Droid Razr is likely to attach a price of around $299,99 along with the usual two year contract, assuming it follows the current Verizon pricing structure. The highly anticipated devices has been available for preorder since the end of October, building up to what is likely to be one of the most popular devices of the pre-Christmas buying frenzy.
Spec-wise, the Razr will be shipping with a super 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3 inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording and the ability to serve as a mobile hotspot for up to 8 Wi-Fi devices.
However, the Razr will not be on its own in its quest to take a share of the limelight, with the likes of the Samsung Google Nexus and the HTC Rezound also entering the mix in the same timeframe. In the case of the former of the two in particular, the arrival of Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is widely expected to create a level of hysteria rarely seen, with all other coming looking set for the fights of their lives.
That being said, the Razr and many others like it are fully expected to receive an Android 4.0 makeover, though this could take place as late as the Spring of 2012.
