nokia lumia 800 85 Nokia Lumia 800 Succeeds in the Netherlands and GermanyNokia will be enjoying curious looks upon their announcement of their official Q4 financial report. More than anything, with how the previous year turned out, reports should reflect progress and spell good things for its investors – or will it?

Banking on its partnership and commitment to the Windows Mobile Phone platform, Nokia was able to offer to consumers the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710. The Lumia 800 became its official bid in the high-end smartphone market while the Lumia 710 was reserved for the lower tiers.

It is not unheard of that Nokia’s latest attempt at making an impression on the market didn’t leave enough marks worthy of a second look. However, that information became partly moot since it enjoyed good reception – at least, in certain territories.

According to a survey conducted by MobilesPlease, the phone provided little hope as it only managed to score 0.17% out of the entire UK November smartphone sales. It stood mediocre next to the performance of the most popular phone, the Samsung Galaxy S2, during the survey period.

Nevertheless, the phone performed better in the Netherlands. KPN Netherlands, the biggest carrier in the said country, hailed the Lumia 800 as the second best-selling smartphone during November last year. It even managed to surmount others to emerge at the top by early December.

Germany also presented itself to be a good market for the phone. According to O2 Germany’s Most Popular Phones Chart, the Lumia 800 has been on top for quite some time. Additionally, T-Mobile Germany places the phone in sixth place behind three Apple phones and two Samsung Galaxy variants.

Until then, speculations abound the Lumia 800 unless Nokia finally speaks up about it.
