At the moment, they are specifically aiming their sights onto the European market with their own spin on the smartphone custom.

Panasonic stated that “with the mobile phone market rapidly shifting to smartphone usage worldwide and a steady growth expected particularly overseas, Panasonic aims to tap into this growth with its first global model smart phone for the European market.”

The prototype is said to have an “ultra-slim D-shaped design” that is intended to make the device all the more portable. It is also said to be completely waterproof and dustproof which could spell that they are aiming for a durable, compact and strong design for the smartphone. A wide display screen is also in the offing what with the phone supposedly donning on a 4.3 inches qHD OLED screen.

It is expected that the product will help them post 1.5 million of individual sales over the first fiscal year in the market.

On the succeeding fiscal year that’s slated on 2016, a sales posting worth 15 million of individual mobile phone distribution is expected with the smartphone contributing 9 million to that number.

With that already out there, Panasonic is nothing but hopeful and optimistic with the release of their Android phones. They are eyeing to eat and chase away a significant percent of the Galaxy-like phone demographic towards their own little tough cookie.
