Samsung Galaxy Nexus Owners Experience Random Reboots

google nexus prime24 Samsung Galaxy Nexus Owners Experience Random RebootsAccording to Boy Genius Report, several Samsung Galaxy Nexus users are complaining that the smartphone arbitrarily reboots, and would do so in a number of circumstances.

Different users have claimed that the reboots would occur while listening to music or playing games, but worst of all, some of these reboots have allegedly happened with the phone on idle. Most of those who have complained about the issue are using the handset’s GSM versions, though it appears as if CDMA users have not been completely spared from the auto-reboot problem.

Previously, there was a bug regarding the handset’s sound, which would take on a life of its own and lower automatically. A software update preceded the stateside release of the Galaxy Nexus, and all seemed to be taken care of. However, there are increasing reports about the phone’s tendency to reboot by itself, and for would-be Galaxy Nexus buyers, this is without a doubt a potential deal-breaker.

Despite the odd bugs, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has received mostly positive reviews, and the fact that it is the first-ever phone to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) gives it a lot of clout.

At the present, Google has stated they are researching ways to deal with the latest bug. This should at least give users a glimmer of hope considering that this issue is more serious, if not yet more prevalent than the first one.
