Samsung Galaxy Nexus to be Followed by Non-LTE T-Mobile Variant
While much of the nation still waits patiently for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to make any kinds of appearance on US soil, the rumor-mill is already in full swing regarding the possibility of a T-Mobile variant of the Nexus, which would of course ship minus-LTE.
According to a number of credible reports from within the industry, the rumor originates from details regarding this week’s event taking place in California, carrying the tag of “Experience the world of T-Mobile and Google.”
Apparently, it would seem that Verizon Wireless is in fact not to be the exclusive carrier of the highly anticipated Nexus. This had come to be largely expected and all but confirmed, following Verizon themselves tweaking their own online banner last month so as to remove the ‘exclusive’ handle.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Nexus FCC document recently made public also suggested that the device would be supporting both AT&T and T-Mobile AWS bands.
With regard to an official release date, the new Nexus carrying LTE is still expected to make an appearance later this month or in the early stage of December. While it had originally been suggested that November 17th would in fact be the all-important date to watch out for, it would now seem as though the 23rd or 27th estimates are much more likely to hold water.
