Samsung Galaxy Nexus Vs HTS Rezound Vs Motorola Droid Razr – Android 4.0 the Deciding Factor?
With three brand new high-end Smartphones officially announced and due for imminent arrival, the only question that remains is exactly how to choose between the HTC Rezound, Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy Nexus…
Well, the really good news is that no matter which device is chosen, the buyer will end up with a powerhouse of epic proportions. Of course, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has taken the early lead for its exclusive inclusion of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as the OS, not to mention its stunning screen with resolution of 720p.
In the case of the Motorola Droid Razr, this is the only of the three that can boast a Kevlar coating, water resistant components and the status of thinnest Smartphone in the world today.
Going on with the party-pieces, the HTC Rezound somewhat lacks such show-stopping specifics, though does pack an overall spec-sheet that puts it directly in line with the competition.
The Nexus would seem to be the obvious choice therefore, but the fact that Samsung have inexplicable opted to leave out a microSD card slot for memory expansion and settle for a 5 megapixel camera really sets it back a few paces. This gives the Razr a chance to shine in particular, with its stunning 8 megapixel camera and memory that can be expanded with an additional 32 GB.
HTC on the other hand are pushing the fact that the Rezound surpasses the other two by way of a faster 1.5GHz dual-core processer compared to the 1.2GHz of its counterparts, while the inclusion of Beats by Dr. Dre audio technology may also win a modest few over.
So, the answer to the question really comes down to one of personal preference, choosing between hard specs hype. Of course, if Android 4.0 really is the deal-breaker, it may be worth remembering that the Razr and Rezound are both due for an Ice Cream Sandwich makeover in the early stages of 2012…food for thought if nothing else.
