samsung GALAXY Note 2 300x300 Samsung Galaxy Note Predicted to Hit 2 Million SalesSouth Korean technology giant Samsung Electronics has officially launched the domestic version of the latest in the Android-toting Galaxy lineup – by way of the Samsung Galaxy Note – with hopes of selling in excess of two million units.

That being said, the manufacturer offered no specific timeframe for the sales target for the note, which has already seen its release in countless other countries across the world.

The Note, which comes equipped with a screen measuring in at no less than 5.3 inches, has been dubbed as something of a gap-filler between Samsung’s exceptionally popular Smartphone and tablet PC device ranges. By offering a screen size that is larger than pretty much any other Smartphone though smaller than a tablet, Samsung may be getting something of a head-start in a new market combining the best of both worlds.

While some have criticized the Note for providing rather limited functionality with regard to tablet prowess while shipping in a size that reduced Smartphone portability and convenience, the vast majority have praised what is undoubtedly a refreshing change from the norm, perhaps likely to spur something of a revolution.

In related news, Samsung have also recently released the long-awaited Samsung Galaxy Nexus – the first Smartphone in the world to ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and is likely to be destined for equally impressive sales figures.
