Samsung Galaxy S III to Be Launched in Q2 2012
It would appear that Samsung is banking on the success of its Galaxy S line with the rumoured development of its third iteration.
The Korean-based company’s smartphone arm has seen emerging market leadership with its Galaxy S II owning massive unit sales during the run up to Christmas last year. According to Uswitch.com’s mobile tracking, the S II managed to edge out the iPhone 4S in sales and internet buzz in the UK.
It has been reported that the said device will make its debut in consumer consciousness at the Mobile World Congress in February with a run in at market shelves by the second quarter of 2012.
The supposed Samsung Galaxy S III is said to run on a 1.8 GHz or on a jaw-dropping 2 GHz quad core processor which could potentially shame all other smartphones in the market when it comes to speed and performance. All though, it does prove to be a wonder on the toll it can take to the phone’s battery.
Other rumoured features worth noting include a 12-megapixel camera and a possible 3D support. However, 3D phones have yet to make a splash in the market but it will be an interesting addition to the arsenal of features that this phone will probably possess.
Rumours have it that a snapshot of the phone’s camera has emerged elsewhere. All though, it wasn’t something entirely impressive at the moment, it is deemed a welcoming thought as to the phone’s conception.
With recent developments starting to surface, it will only be a matter of time when Samsung finally comes clean with certain specifications of the Galaxy S III.
