Samsung recently posted a special video for this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, which they revealed on their official YouTube account. This video includes highlights of the company’s CES 2012 exhibits, and in the 7:10 mark of the video, there is a handset being used that just might be a prototype for the Galaxy S3.

Samsung has yet to confirm that this is indeed the Galaxy S3 smartphone in action, but there are a few observers who believe that it is.

On the other hand, the real Galaxy S3 has been prepped for an initial preview at the Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona, Spain next month. Not much has been revealed about its features, but rumors indicate that it will include a quad-core processor and possible 3D display with a larger than usual screen.

Like the phone used in the Samsung video, it boasts of a thin design that primarily focuses on the screen. Nevertheless, there is a possibility that such a phone is merely a prop and not an actual Galaxy S3.

Also included in the Samsung press video are several new products expected to be released later on in the year, including the Galaxy Note tablet/smartphone hybrid, WB850 Smart Camera, 55-inch OLED TV and ES800 LED TV.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was obviously not meant to be featured in the video, but that doesn’t make it any less likely we shall be learning more about it in due time.
