Siri Outage Affecting iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, iOS 5 Jailbreak Released Ahead of iPhone 5 Release Date
A number of online publications are today reporting serious outages with the Siri voice recognition system from Apple, sparking widespread complaints.
Siri, which is the already highly-prized voice navigation AI system launched as the crowning glory of the new iPhone 4S, allows users of the device to carry out a variety of tasks by verbally communicating their commands. However, today appears to mark the very first widespread outage of the Siri system across the US, according to various publications.
Rather than responding to queries as would be expected, Siri is instead stating that no requests can be taken right now, offering apologies for the inconvenience. Of course, apologies are rarely enough in this particular industry, therefore those involved have already taken to the web en-masse, Tweeting and blogging their frustrations as if there were no tomorrow.
