T-Mobile Announces the Samsung Galaxy S2 and HTC Amaze 4G – But no iPhone 5 Yet
T-Mobile have confirmed on Monday the details of two new Android powered Smartphones for the US market, by way of the HTC Amaze and the carrier specific version of the Samsung Galaxy S2. However, the same day also saw much high level discussions of the iPhone5, specifically how it will not be arriving on the carrier at any time this year.
With regard to the Samsung Galaxy S2, the $229.99 super-phone is about as slim as it gets and boasts a colossal dual-core 1.5GHz processor for massive power. In the case of the $259.99 HTC Amaze, a dual-core processor also provides the goods under the hood, while a number of software improvements and camera enhancements offer superb overall performance.
Of course, it is not the devices that arrive which really capture our attention, but those that remain so elusive – which brings us on to the iPhone 5. T-Mobile of course stopped short of releasing any key details ahead of the official word from Apple, though acknowledged that word may have slipped a little and stated that the discussion was meant to be carried out strictly internally.
According to T-Mobile, the iPhone 5 is set to be an exceptional device and the carrier is indeed keen to stock it upon its arrival, though for the time being at least, the ball is well and truly in Apple’s court.
