Thinner and faster new iPhone 4G
The new iPhone generation lives up to the expectations as it’s thinner, faster and has a longer battery life. After the prototype of the new iPhone made public in April, experts and fans of Apple products were arguing whether the new gear will differ much from what it was described at Gizmodo portal.
The phone is 24 percent thinner than the earlier models, it’s only 9,3 mm thick. The resolution of the display is four times bigger, 960×640 pixel with 800:1 contrast ratio and it’s clearly visible from all angles.
„Please, interrupt me, if you have already seen that” – began his presentation the Apple’s CEO, Steve Jobs. He stated: „Since the release of the first generation of iPhones in 2007, the new iPhone 4G contains the most changes”. The 5-megapixel camera on the back panel was built for recording 720p HD videos, besides taking photos. Video telephone is available through the front panel.
Comparing to the previous device – which was much criticized because of its poor battery – with the new iPhone we can talk 7 hours on 3G network and 14 hours on 2g network. If we have Wi-Fi connection we can also surf on the internet for 10 hours, while the music player has 40 hours with one charge.
The 16 GB version of iPhone 4G costs 199$, a 32 GB version is up for sale at 299$ in the United States.
Following iPad’s success, Apple is going to make the iPhone 4G available all around the world soon. From June 24 the device will be available for sale in 5 countries. From September it will be available in 88 countries.
