UK property buyers eye French market
Athena Mortgages, a French real estate company has reported that the number of new enquiries for French properties rose by 100 percent in May compared to the previous month.
The report points out that more and more UK buyers are interested to invest in the French real estate market these days. Especially the new build market coming on strong, as property prices in big towns like Paris and Marseille went up by 8 and 11 percent compared to last year.
The confidence of UK buyers to invest in the French market is growing because of the competitive business possibilities, favourable mortgage deals and the current situation of the EU’s common currency. These facts seem to be quite attractive for UK investors to exploit business opportunities in France.
According to the director of Athena Mortgages, enquiries from UK buyers are increasing ever since the beginning of this year, but especially the last 2 months they got lot of calls about possible mortgage deals, as investors realized it could be a very good time to do business investments in the French market.
