google nexus prime21 Verizon Excludes Google Wallet from Galaxy NexusVerizon Wireless is going to release the Samsung Galaxy in the US without Google Wallet support. As a matter of fact, the carrier requested Google to disable the mobile payment function in the Galaxy Nexus.

A spokesperson from Google confirmed the news, saying that it’s true that Verizon requested for the Google Wallet to be removed. The omission isn’t that bewildering though, especially to those who already heard about Isis, a partnership formed by the carrier with other bigwigs such as T-Mobile and AT&T.

Analysts say that several companies are now planning to launch their very own digital wallets. Verizon hasn’t said anything about the issue and dismissed answering any inquiries from the media.

According to reports, Sprint is the only one that currently offers the service mainly because it has the Nexus S 4G in its repertoire of goods. More US carriers are expected to join the bandwagon and will start offering the service soon as well.

Isis on the other hand is a different breed says a technology expert, because it offers a neutral platform making it possible for it to be the foundation system for retailers, credit card companies, payment networks and such.
