google nexus prime24 Verizon Galaxy Nexus to Hit Costco on December 15?In the past days, we have witnessed the much anticipated Verizon Galaxy Nexus get an unexpected spotting at some Best Buy and Verizon stores. The question now is, will we find it surface in other retailer stores as well?

The Ice-Cream-Sandwich-nibbling product has been slated for a December 15 release or so the rumours say. Certain purveyors have been getting word around the block that it won’t be long until the smartphone of the moment get to see the light of day.

The Galaxy Nexus phone has had at least two other unconfirmed yet disproven release dates. It is said that the cause of such delay is an issue around a mobile payment system app, called Google Wallet.

The delay was caused by Verizon’s denial of Google’s little purse to land onto the smartphone. All though Verizon made it clear that it is not against any app, it does provide an incentive that the Google Wallet app is deemed more appropriate to be run on a phone with a much newer, proprietary hardware.

Engadget recently found photos proving that this particular smartphone has been lying around in stock rooms of most retailers (special mention goes out to Costco). Photos taken of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus ads were found on Costco’s premises. However, it has been taken down much the same way Best Buy tried to recall sold Galaxy Nexus phones from their own patrons.

With December 15 coming around fast, will it be safe for customers to start anticipating seeing the phone in their local retail stores?
