Verizon Motorola Droid Bionic Justifies the Wait
With the launch of the Motorola Droid Bionic drawing ever closer, Verizon look to be finally delivering on the promise they made more than eight months ago.
It was back in January that Verizon Wireless first boasted the presence of the fabled device to the press at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, stating that it would be just one of many 4G devices to launch in the first half of 2011. Needless to say, this never happened, though at long last those with the patience of a saint, not to mention $300 to foot the bill, look set to be rewarded with their own Droid Bionic this very week.
Early reviews are signaling that the wait may well have been worth it, with some dubbing the Bionic as simply the best Smartphone experience of recent years.
As had already been rumored, the original Bionic has undergone an array of revisions and upgrades since its first appearance, suggesting that the delays have been well and truly justified. Along with the stunning hardware tweaks and improvements across the board, the new Bionic also sports a thinner, sleeker case with somewhat less rounded corners.
Needless to say, the real party-piece of the Bionic is still certain to be the screaming fat combination of a dual-core processor and LTE network compatibility – a first for Verizon.
In a nutshell, for those who have been keeping a close eye on the race for 4G supremacy all summer and managed to sit tight on their money, the wait looks set to be richly rewarded.
