Wells Fargo Current Mortgage Interest Rates Today
Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) is today offering mortgage rates similar to the nation’s other major lenders, which are a little up over those of last week but largely unchanged from yesterday. The 30 year fixed-rate term now rests at 4.125% with an APR of 4.307%. The popular 15 year fixed-rate loan for home purchase is at 3.250% with a 3.565% APR. 30 year fixed-rate FHA loans remain at the same 3.875% with an APR of 4.839%.
Jumbo five-year ARM options today sit at 2.875% to start, while the normal five-year ARM is available at 2.500%.
For larger loan amounts in eligible areas, Wells Fargo are offering rates in a similar region to those for standard home purchases. 30 year fixed-rates are set at 4.250% yielding an APR of 4.382%. Jumbo 30 year fixed loans are slightly down at 4.500% carrying an APR of 4.634% APR.
Five-year ARMs for purchase remain at the same 2.500%, with five-year FHA ARMs at 3.000%.
Those looking to refinance can expect to 30 year fixed terms to be offered at 4.250% with an APR of 4.639%, while 15 year fixed refinance terms are at 3.250% yielding an APR of 3.766%.
While the rock bottom rates remain in place across the US, the most recent data released has indicated that new mortgage applications are down. It would seem therefore that the American public is still unwilling to enter into new debt as the bitter aftertaste of the economic downturn remains strong.
