Wells Fargo Current Mortgage Refinance Rates Today
For those with good credit scores refinance mortgage interest rates are still at favorable levels. Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) is offering 4.375% as an interest rate on the 30 year fixed refinance mortgage. The loan has one origination point and carries an APR of 4.766%. The FHA version of the same loan is a bit better overall with an APR of 4.646% and an interest rate of 4.00%.
For those looking for shorter-term 15 year refinance opportunities, Wells Fargo is offering 3.625% today with an APR of 4.146%. Chase Bank is offering the 15 year refi loan at 3.725% and competitor Bank of America is a bit higher quoting 3.875% for the loan today.
Five-year adjustable rate mortgages start at 2.875% with APRs of 3.382%, while five-year ARM FHA loans start at 3.125% with APRs of 2.873%.
Mortgage rates have generally been following financial markets and because of weak economic news have consequently reached record lows during the late summer and early fall months. The stock market at the end of this week experienced a rally that brought the 2011 returns into the black but just barely. While positive economic and stock market news is bad news for mortgage rates, most experts believe that mortgage rates will stay low for the foreseeable future.
