According to the company, the new Wicked Laser S3 Krypton Series gadget can shoot a laser beyond the Earth’s atmosphere – up to a total of 85 miles in fact. To put it another way, the laser is powerful enough to be seen from space alongside such other examples as the pyramids of Egypt and the Great Wall of China.
For those needing even more of a wow factor, looking into the laser will cause blindness 100% of the time, as the light will be 8000 brighter than the sun. Furthermore, the laser is green, which is apparently much brighter than red, blue or purple.
The aircraft-grade aluminum case also plays host to an internal thermostat that will keep an eye on the temperature and lower the power of the laser as it heats up – essentially to stop users from burning their hands off. That being said, the manufacturer has claimed that the laser could be used 24/7 without ever sustaining damage – which certainly says something about build quality.
The S3 Krypton from Wicked Lasers can be purchased for $299.99 right now and for those looking for an acceptable reason as to why they would really need one, probably best to give up now and just treat it as a mindless indulgence.
